The city of Jena, the Friedrich-Schiller University of Jena and the Free State of Thuringia would like to bring the “Zukunftszentrum – Centre for German Unity and European Transformation” to Jena. To this end, a powerful, interdisciplinary project and bid team is being assembled. Here is a brief overview.

Team and structure

At the heart of the project team is the so-called Bid Management Team, consisting of 20 people representing the city, Friedrich-Schiller University of Jena and Jena’s civil society. The project leadership is in the hands of Martin Fischer from the Central Process and Project Management of the city of Jena as well as Christine Schickert, the Scientific Director of the special research area “Structural Changes in Property” at the University of Jena https://www.uni-jena.de/. Four working groups [Arbeitsgruppen, AG] have formed to develop content for Jena’s bid. In additional, an Advisory Board of high calibre members provides important ideas and advice to the project team.
